It’s a requirement that all gas burning appliances shall be serviced/maintained a minimum of once a year or in accordance with the manfacturer’s instructions.
Also, gas installations (pipework) shall be tested in accordance with the relevant standard on a regular interval, typically every five years. Although visual inspections are done during an annual service/gas safety check.
