It’s a statutory requirement that all gas burning appliances shall be serviced at least once a year in accordance with the manufacturers’ instructions.
Also, gas installations (pipework) shall be tested in accordance with the relevant standard on a regular interval, typically every five years. Although visual inspections are done during an annual service/gas safety check.
